- that's not the same thing. if you're sitting behind a firewall you
- don't want to have to turn the proxy on and off manually every time
- you access a site. the way to do it is to have a list of domains for
- which the proxy will not be used. generally you set this up so any
- site inside the firewall does not hit the proxy. yeah, it still works
- if it goes through the proxy for local hits but it's generally slower
- and it puts an unnecessary load on the proxy server.
